Four veterans and service members stand watch together at a sandbagged foxhole, silhouetted against a golden sunrise

Est. 2026 · Veteran peer support

A foxhole is a place
you don’t hold alone.

A private community for those who served. Built for the weeks and months you spend on a VA waitlist, the nights between appointments, and the hard parts of coming home that no intake form covers.

The fight off-base

When the uniform comes off, the war doesn’t.

Roughly 33,000 veterans sleep unsheltered or in shelters on any given night in the U.S. Substance use, untreated PTSD, and months-long care waits are the through-line. Foxhole exists to put a hand on the shoulder before someone hits the curb.

Moderated and reviewed by a combat veteran

Christopher Spositi, MBA, CEI is a combat veteran of the U.S. Army Infantry and a former Texas police officer. Through the military and law enforcement he saw firsthand what untreated mental health and substance use does to service members and the people who love them. He now works in veteran treatment as the Senior Veteran Behavioral Health Advisor for Patriot Power Up, a residential mental health program in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He cofounded Foxhole to combat veteran and military suicide, one honest conversation at a time.

Combat Infantry, OIF. Certified Employee Investigator.

Portrait of Becka Karle, Foxhole cofounder and head of product and partnerships

Why Foxhole exists

Becka Karle, cofounder and head of product and partnerships, lives with a traumatic brain injury and complex PTSD. A close friend, a veteran, once told her she was no less than a veteran: her brain carried the same wounds. Foxhole is built in his honor.

Military life was never abstract to her. Her brother spent four years as a cadet at Marine Military Academy in Harlingen, Texas, rising to captain of the drill team. At the Marine Military Ball she saw the pride of those early years, and over time she saw how heavy the weight can become later down the line. She’s grateful her brother is still here. Foxhole exists so more families can say the same.

She worked with Chris at Patriot Power Up for a year, building out an alumni program so a veteran still has a place to come back to long after discharge.

From the community
I went eight years thinking nobody got it. First week here, somebody from my unit’s era answered at 0200. That is the foxhole.”
