Merging Vets & Players
Free fitness and peer support for veterans and former professional athletes through Merging Vets & Players, with weekly workouts and The Huddle.
A team after the uniform
Merging Vets & Players, known as MVP, was co-founded in 2015 by Jay Glazer and Nate Boyer, a former Green Beret and NFL player. The nonprofit connects veterans and former professional athletes through fitness, shared experience, and peer support.
MVP welcomes all U.S. military veterans, regardless of combat experience. Its community focuses on the transition out of service or sport and the connection, identity, and purpose a team can provide.
The workout and The Huddle
Weekly sessions combine a team-based workout with The Huddle, a facilitated peer-to-peer conversation. Members can talk about transition, share what they are working through, and support one another.
MVP is a peer community, not a replacement for clinical treatment or emergency care. Participation is free, with local chapters and a virtual chapter offering ways to connect.
Find your chapter
Start with MVP's membership page to connect with a chapter and review current meeting details. Chapter schedules and participation requirements are confirmed directly by MVP.
If a local chapter is not nearby, ask about the virtual chapter. The goal is the same: a consistent community where veterans and former athletes can build connections after their service or sport.
