The Ground Rules

Short version: be straight with each other, this is peer support and not treatment, and if you are in danger call 988. The long version is below.

This is not a crisis service. If you or someone here is in immediate danger, call or text 988 then press 1, or call 911. Foxhole Forum is a community, not an emergency line, and no one here is on duty to intervene in an emergency.

Not a substitute for clinical care

Foxhole Forum is peer support — veterans showing up for each other. It is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment, and it does not replace care from a licensed professional. Keep your appointments, take your meds as prescribed, and lean on your clinical team. We are the people in the foxhole next to you, not your provider.

No medical advice

Members share lived experience, not professional advice. Nothing posted here is medical, legal, or financial advice, and you should not treat it that way. Always confirm anything that affects your health, benefits, or safety with a qualified professional before acting on it.

How we treat each other

By using Foxhole Forum, you agree to:

  • Keep what is shared here private. What is said in the foxhole stays here.
  • No harassment, hate, threats, or targeting another member — ever. Disagree without tearing someone down.
  • No doxxing. Do not post anyone’s real name, location, or identifying details, including your own in ways that could compromise others.
  • No spam, scams, soliciting, or selling. This is not a marketplace.
  • No glorifying or coaching self-harm. If a member is in crisis, point them to 988 and flag the post.

Moderation

This community is moderated by veterans. We reserve the right to edit, hide, or remove any content, and to suspend or remove any account, at our discretion — with or without notice — to keep this place safe. Flagging a post sends it to a moderator for review. Moderation decisions are final.
